Within each moment, we are given countless opportunities to experience the varying aspects of our human nature. In experiencing our nature, we allow ourselves to unfold. In this unfolding, we can choose to walk alone or in union. It is our choice.
In each moment we choose to walk alone or seek to do things “our” way, we can experience more fear, isolation and suffering. In those Divine moments that we seek to walk in union with our higher self we begin to experience greater love, communion and peace.
I am not suggesting outward conditions immediately transform, this is not always the case. What I am suggesting is that as we choose to walk in union with our higher selves, we become integrated. As we integrate, our perceptions and understandings allow us to move through our earthly existence with a gracefulness that can only be achieved through a connection with the Divine within and without.
As we nurture and maintain our connection to the Divine, we begin to receive “messages” that offer us clarity and support. If we allow ourselves to “reach” both within and without, and ask to be guided towards our souls highest end, we will for certain receive any and all information that is necessary to walk our highest path.
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
For everyone that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
Saint Matthew 7:7-8
Sometimes our answers come in a dream. Sometimes we are answered through a song, a book, a television program, a friend, or a person we don’t even know. Sometimes the information is just there and we don’t understand how or why. The Divine will use all of our senses, including those we may not be aware of, to enlighten and inspire us.
The information we receive may be nothing more than validation and support for what we are already doing. Perhaps the information gives us something to consider that we have not. If we are open to the consideration of these things we may notice that we are being offered a direction that could be beneficial for us to explore. Sometimes we hear nothing. Is there truly nothing to hear, or perhaps could we learn to listen in a new way?
